Texture + Scent

The texture is a very smooth mud paste. It’s not as thick as other brands of mud mask. It’s a pastel green-gray color. When you open the jar, it smells very minty and refreshing. It’s like you are breathing in a peppermint candy! You can still smell the kaolin clay.

Thoughts

I was pretty shocked when I first used the product. The mud mask has an intense cooling effect on the skin and feels very good. When you first put it on, it immediately cools your skin down. The peppermint oil and tree tea makes the skin feel refreshed.

I wash my face with a cleanser, pat my face dried before putting toner on and then apply the mud mask. The product comes with a small spatula but I use a mask applicator brush to evenly spread the product onto my face. I leave it on for 10 minutes and wash it off. After I wash off the mask, my skin feels smooth and refreshing. It took quite a bit of the blackheads off my nose and cleansed my pores, which is great!

I would say that it does calm my skin down a lot, reduces the redness, and hydrates my skin at the same time. The mud mask doesn’t dry your skin out after you wash it off. I only use it once a week and I’m already on my second bottle.

Overall, the mud mask is highly effective in delivering what it was meant to do, from cleaning the pores out to hydrating the skin. I recommend it for anyone wanting to reduce redness and clean any pores or impurities without drying the skin out or irritating it.
